I really loved the shots. This film unlike the other terror clad plots in hindi cinema doesn't try to be aggressive, rather shows us the very opposite. The unjust dismantling of prosperity that inspired one of largely felt tragedies of the sikh community in the post emergency Punjab reflected greatly through the very device of vengeance and a lost sense of righteousness.
Maachis is an important work which people need a reminder to time and time again. Gulzars pen has does wonders for hindi cinema of which this has been one of his highly underrated ones even with directing aspect involved. 4.5/5. 2ff7e9595c
